At Shepherdstown Montessori, our goal is to help foster curiosity and independence within each child through a well prepared environment. The Montessori method includes a multi-sensory approach that allows for individualized learning and for students to learn and be challenged at their own pace. We place great value in teaching leadership, self-confidence, and respect for others and the environment. Shepherdstown Montessori welcomes preschool and kindergarten aged children between the ages of 2.5 and 6. Children who enroll must be potty trained prior to starting school.
